David Mead, BSc, FCA, Director
David has specialised in working for private sector businesses for almost his entire career, previously as a partner in top twenty firms, setting up Poolemead in 2012.
David has acted for many hundreds of small and medium sized companies across a very diverse range of activities, from starts-up to the disposal of long-established privately-owned business. He has seen the advent of cloud-based accounting change the way in which advisers like Poolemead are able to advise clients in real time, not just at the end of a year.
The benefits of being able access records from anywhere at any time – provided you have internet access – cannot be understated. We find Xero to be the most popular and effective accounting solution.
Through his extensive professional experience David knows a great many expert accountants and other professionals across the sector, so if advice in a niche specialist area is needed, David can usually call on the right person.
Kay Mead
Kay qualified as an FCII before retraining as a languages teacher and translator before joining Poolemead in 2015 to help out part time – within months she was working full-time as the business grew and cloud-based record-keeping became widespread. Kay trained in personal tax and takes the lead on Personal Tax services. Kay is also the office Xero specialist and will help you set up your system for accounting, VAT, Payroll and CIS.
Hannah Reay-Mead
Hannah provides book-keeping support, including VAT Returns and Payroll, as well as dealing with Company Secretarial services and office administration.
